KNOB is a premium media controller, volume knob, and macropad that combines the nostalgic, tactile feel of classic volume controls with a sleek, minimalist design. Featuring a smooth, weighted dial with a precision roller bearing and linear GATERON Milky Yellow Pro V3 mechanical switches, it delivers a customizable audio controller experience for the modern age.

Each KNOB comes pre-mapped with:

  • Clockwise rotation as volume up
  • Counter-Clockwise rotation as volume down
  • Left keypress as media rewind
  • Center keypress as media play/pause
  • Right keypress as media skip/next

KNOB will work natively with any computer. When plugged in, KNOB shows up as a standard keyboard and sends media control commands as simple key strokes. Thanks to this control scheme, no extra software is needed; just plug KNOB in and connect to your music.

Customization:
For the power users, KNOB V2 is now VIA compatible and can be remapped right in your web browser without any coding.

QMK Support:
Thanks to the Atmega32U4 processor, KNOB is compatible with the open-source QMK firmware, and is currently shipping with it pre-installed

This Thing is Great

Keeping a long story short, I'm a very amateur recording "artist" who is currently transitioning from Cakewalk to Reaper. I came across the Knob very randomly in a Reddit post and thought it'd be useful for horizontal scrolling (as described in that post) and for doing more precise adjustments to faders and knobs within Reaper.

For basically $50, this is awesome for exactly that, and pretty much anything else you can think of, as you can simply assign keyboard strokes (individual or multiple) or mouse inputs (and maybe more, check the instructions) to each direction of the knob and each of the 3 keys beneath it.

Build feels solid, has good weight and looks sleek. You'll need your own USB-C cable (I went into my desktop PC with a USB-C > USB-A cable). Would recommend.

The Endgame Knob Has Arrived

I have used various knob devices in the past (including the Ploopy knob), and I was immediately impressed when I unboxed this device and began using it. The knob has an excellent heft so the device stays in place, even on a smooth work surface. The instructions for customizing and remapping the device are clear and exceptionally well written, with an excellent accompanying video to explain things.

I code and work in CAD all day, and the Knob has become an essential part of my workflow. A huge thanks to Baseline Design for making an incredible product. Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see what's next!

Don't be like me - scan the QR code that's in the (very nice) packaging! You'll need that info in order to get this device to customise the device in Via (usevia.app). Seller is incredibly responsive and helpful via discord. The encoder knob has a nice weight and feel to it.

I had an issue at first with my knob arriving damaged from shipping, but Connor was so responsive - he had me ship my damaged item back and within days I was sent another one in perfect condition. 10/10 would recommend purchasing from him. The knob is incredible and greatly increases my productivity at work.
